For our office in St. Catharines, Ontario we are seeking a Manager Finance Planning & Analysis (FP&A Manager) who can align well with our vision of revolutionizing how people buy and sell cars and to eliminate the problems that hinder our vision.

Reporting to the Director of Finance & Accounting, the FP&A Manager is a detail-oriented, passionate problem-solver who enjoys making things more efficient as we continue to grow. This role will help the organization gain an in depth understanding of our customer base, help support sales efforts to target growth opportunities, and control operating expenses to help drive a predictable and high-performance culture within the organization. The ideal candidate has a learner’s mindset with a passion for detail and appreciate the impact that good financial reporting has on a business’s success.

Duties & Responsibilities

Build and manage the annual and 5-year financial model, including maintaining the rolling forecast and providing advice to Management around improving and ensuring scalability of the model
Day to day responsibility for all financial variance analysis and reporting (monthly, quarterly) for both internal management and shareholder purposes, including various types of financial analysis using key performance indicators specific to the Automotive industry
Oversight and management of the continued development of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting and Modeling tools
Preparation of annual budgets and periodical forecasts, working cross functionally across the organization
Management of capital approval and monitoring processes across the organization including post-evaluation of major projects vs plan
Continual search for improvement opportunities both financial and operational while helping to drive a performance improvement culture across the company
Assist with other matters as deemed necessary

YOUR PROFILE

Education & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field along with a relevant designation (CPA, CFA, MBA etc.)
5 years in a Finance role, including minimum 2 years experience in an FP&A capacity
Experience with financial statement analysis and a knowledge of corporate finance concepts
Consolidation experience in a large company
Ability to locate and collect data from appropriate sources and analyze it to prepare meaningful and concise reports that summarize the information
Strong financial modelling skills (compensation structure & models, business scenario planning, etc.)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey budgeting, forecasting and business issues in a clear and concise manner
Detail-oriented and experience multi-tasking and shifting priorities quickly under pressure and tight deadlines
Knowledge of the automotive distribution industry is a plus
