THE ROLE:

We are looking for a Financial Reporting Manager who wants to join a high growth technology company and has a say in the decision of our financial future. This role will be responsible for preparation and distribution of financial statements, maintenance of the organization’s general ledger, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

While the focus of the role is financial reporting, you will also interact with all aspects and divisions of the business. It’s important that you are keen to learn and contribute to the whole company, not just the finance department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

In this role, you will:

Manage the preparation and review of the quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements and MD&A
Drive the completion of the month end, quarter end, and year end procedures
Prepare, implement and maintain corporate accounting policies
Develop and maintain the integrity of the financial reporting process and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting
Assess and document the impact and required disclosures for major transactions and complex accounting issues
Liaise with external tax advisors to maintain an understanding of the tax exposure and risk areas impacting our business
Ensure tax reporting and other statutory compliance by working with tax advisors in the preparation and completion of tax returns in all areas of tax

REQUIREMENTS:

Proven experience in all things financial statements and MD&A that has prepared you for this level of position.
Thorough knowledge of IFRS and public company reporting requirements
Prior experience in Technical Accounting
Familiarity liaising with internal and external stakeholders
Interest in being part of a growing team
Strong independent research ability and analytical skills
Capable of thinking through and proposing solutions to problems
Eligible to work in Canada
