FundThrough is looking for a diligent and resourceful Senior Manager, Credit and Underwriting to join us on our mission to help business owners end the “wait” associated with payment terms.

Based in Toronto and operating across North America, FundThrough’s AI-powered invoice funding platform gives B2B businesses fast, customized funding offers to get their invoices paid in a few days – rather than a few months – and get quick access to cash they’ve already earned.

Requirements

Directly manage a team of expert credit and risk analysts
Manage the Know Your Customer (KYC) and Underwriting process to assess the compliance and credit risk, according to established policies and procedures within the designated service level agreements
Work as escalation point for larger transactions when needed
Stay on top of regulatory changes and ensure compliance within policies and processes
Work with the data science, product and engineering team to implement risk measures and process improvements
Develop, evolve and update the company’s underwriting and risk management models
Undertakes the analysis, evaluation, and underwriting of proposed credit facilities for customers and prospects
Takes ownership of the credit process, making decisions in the best interest of the client and FundThrough
Analyze complex credit facility requests with assistance from senior risk members
Performs monthly, quarterly and annual reviews of the portfolio and credit quality
Support any activities related to enhancing or optimizing credit and risk systems
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including sales, customer success, and operations to ensure optimal customer experience while balancing risk
Provides support to the sales team on client calls as needed

Required Skills

You have 4+ years of experience as a credit manager
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, engineering, or similar
Proactive to resolve escalated client issues or credit guideline/policy gaps
Working knowledge of credit underwriting and performance metrics for fintech products
Experience working with artificial intelligence and automated solutions
Maintain the highest level of integrity and ethics in your work
Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
High competence in project and stakeholder management
Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Bonus points if you have the following:
- Experience in a fast-growing early-stage start-up
- Previous experience in Factoring and/or ABL (Asset Based Lending)
- MBA
