Portfolio Manager responsibilities include:

Managing a portfolio of projects and ensuring their successful completion
Providing leadership and direction to project teams
Monitoring project progress and performance
Identifying risks and issues associated with projects
Escalating risks and issues to senior management
Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
