ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Working closely with Director of Finance as well as the rest of the Accounting team, the responsibilities of this position will include:

Supervise/review AP and Treasury functions
Monitor banking activities and cash forecasting
Responsible for month/year-end procedures/schedules, including, journal entries and various financial reports
Monthly analysis and reporting of expenses
Investigate and reconcile variances, report findings
Maintain (and implement if needed) internal controls
Sales analysis and internal and external reporting
Enhance and/or develop monthly/quarterly financial reports and analysis for department expenses tracking
Participate in the development and implementation of new systems and processes
Maintain consistency of processes and procedures
Support budgeting / Forecasting processes
Assist with financial system implementation/upgrades
Oversee timely and accurate Sales tax reporting
Other duties and/or projects as may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Fluent in English (oral and written)
Professional accounting designation or in last stages
3-5 years of experience in a similar position (within the software or fintech industry preferred)
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Attentive to detail and accurate
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Excellent computer application skills, including Microsoft office applications
Experience and knowledge of the setup or implementation of ERP systems (Netsuite experience would be a definite asset)
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of Power BI and Salesforce
