The impact you’ll make:

As Sr Manager Finance Technology, you will impact our business by influencing and working with our team to build the roadmaps and technology which powers all our digital properties at Loblaw. Leveraging your financial expertise in reporting, insights & analytics, cost management and business partnering to drive outcomes and efficiencies. In this role you oversee all technology spend, both capital and operating spend, across all our businesses PC Express, Marketplace, Shoppers Drug Mart, Joe Fresh, PC Optimum, Loblaw Media as well as our in-house developed Helios infrastructure platform. The candidate will play a critical role on providing strategic guidance & insights, recommendations, and continued business analytics to the Digital leadership team.

What You'll Do:

Key point of contact for VP of technology and business technology leadership team
Owner of Loblaw Digital technology capital and operating budget
Ensure accurate reporting, forecasting and analysis with a large focus on risk management and scenario analysis
End to end management of technology planning process, identifying, and driving improvements and efficiencies
Maintain and manage dynamic resourcing planning for technology projects across both internal and external resourcing
Monitor capitalized assets and capitalization policies for our technology assets
Drive valuable insights through ad hoc analysis on investment decisions and business ideas
Build and preserve relationships with key external resourcing vendors and internal enterprise teams
A successful applicant will be forward thinking with the ability to take initiative and ownership to create and improve process efficiencies, by identifying opportunities and partnering with key stakeholders within the business.

Role Requirements:

University degree in Business, Analytics or Finance, ideal candidate will also possess an accounting designation (CPA) or MBA
5-8 years of relevant business experience within a Finance and/or Technology environment
Superior analytical skills with the ability to drive useful business insights, ability to think outside the box
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Ideal candidate will have exposure/competency with SAP and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.)
