Powell Fence, a member of the Powell Construction and Engineering Group, strives to provide clients with any of their supply and installation needs. We specialize in the construction of chain-link fence, wood fence, farm/highway fence, high security fence, all types of gates, noise barrier and/or retaining walls, garbage enclosures, bollards and much more!

The Accounting Manager will be responsible to Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial information.

Main Responsibilities

Management of the Accounting Team to ensure accuracy and timeliness of information being recorded.
Manage a relationship with the Job Cost Manager.
Responsible for internal control processes and make recommendations for improvement.
Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliation process.
Manage cost shares and cost reallocations between multiple companies and divisions.
Perform monthly variance analysis for multiple companies.
Ensure compliance with government remittances including HST, corporate tax installments and payroll remittances.
Assist with development and implementation of effective internal controls to assure safeguarding. of assets and reliability of financial statements and to detect fraud and errors.
Prepare audit schedules and assist with timely response to audit inquiries for multiple companies.
Other Ad hoc duties as assigned.

Additionally, key success criteria, means you will have:

5 years of related accounting or finance experience.
3 years of supervisory or management experience.
CPA designation or working towards.
Experience working in a multi-company environment.
Project and job costing accounting experience ideal.
