Junior Accountant

Prefer candidates with at least 3 years of Canadian experience

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
Backup for front desk duties
Update accounts receivable and issue customer invoices
Review repair w/orders, service quotes and send out invoice to customers
Sending out monthly customers statements
Review accounts payable, supplier emails and perform reconciliations
Assist reviewing of all expenses, allocating and entering
Reconciliation of credit card statements, warranty accounts, prepaid & deposit accounts
Assist with other accounting projects e.g. year end working papers, system conversion reconciliation

Requirements and skills

1-2 years of experience as a junior accountant
Post secondary education in book-keeping and accounting
Excellent organizing skill
Great attention to detail
Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen
Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software
Knowledge of using Quickbooks software will be advantageous
Some knowledge of Oracle Netsuite will be an advantage
