Tasks: Perform or assist in performing animal husbandry activities; Implement pasture or pen breeding programs; Follow safety and bio-security procedures; Handling animals; Monitoring animal health; Detect and treat certain diseases and health problems in livestock; Monitor the calving process; Perform livestock feeding; Feed and tend animals; Perform animal grooming activities; Milk cows; Clean Stables, barns, barnyards and pens; Maintain livestock performance records; Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns; Weeding; Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment; Carry out a pasture or pen breeding programs; Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed; May perform general farm duties
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks, large workload, ability to distinguish between colours, walking, standing for extended periods, sound discrimination, hand-eye co-ordination, physically demanding, attention to detail, combination of sitting, standing, walking, ability to work independently
