Position Summary
We are seeking for outstanding Reflexologists to join our team at OhSpa. Our main focus is to provide our guests with the highest level of comfort. This position requires someone who is hospitable, friendly, and outgoing with a focus on guest service. The Reflexologists will report to the Spa Manager.
Reflexologist (NOC 32209)
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Meets with clients and conducting an initial assessment
• Observes the client’s posture, examine their skin, nails, eyes and tongue, and take their pulse to make a diagnosis and decide on treatment protocol
• Apply gentle finger pressure to specific spots on the clients' feet or hands to promote relaxation and better health and well-being
• Manipulates the client’s skin at certain points on the body, with finger, knuckle, palm, elbow or knee pressure, according to where the “meridians” are
• Uses rhythmic compressions along the meridians of the body, as well as a variety of techniques to promote circulation and lubricate the joints
• Uses a variety of hand techniques, passive and active stretching to restore correct anatomical muscular-skeletal relationships, neuromuscular patterns, and to increase the circulation of Qi and Blood to remove biochemical irritants
• Acupoints may be selected to rebalance and harmonize the flow of Qi and Blood through the organ meridians in order to facilitate healing and prevent further injury
• Use various range of motion exercises accompanied by activating acupressure points
• May use Chinese herbs to facilitate faster healing
• Advise on dietary, exercises and lifestyle choices
• Refer clients to other therapies such as acupuncture, cupping and breathing therapy.
Preferred Education & Qualifications:
· Post-secondary Education or above
· possesses related professional qualification is an asset
· 3 years or more related working experiences
· Knowledge of English and/or other languages
· Ability to maintain strict confidence
· Proven warm and sincere verbal communication skills
· Ability to respond to questions from clients and guests offering appropriate options or solutions
· Strong personal integrity with an innate desire to work in an ethical manner
· Ability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
Wages: $30 per hour; 35 hours per week; Permanent Full-time position
